Best Spaghetti Alternative: Udon Spaghetti

Who says that you have to spend hundreds just to cook best tasting spaghetti? I you feel like eating spaghetti and you don’t have much budget for its ingredients why not utilize other alternative. For most of us planning to cook spaghetti, cost is always the deciding factor but did you know Udon noodles can also be used in cooking spaghetti? Yes! You heard it right, Udon noodles which are commonly used for Japanese Ramen. Wait, here's more you can also use the O-Dong noodles for this budget spaghetti recipe.

INGREDIENTS

Odong or Udon Noodles
1 cup minced white onions
8 garlic cloves minced
1/2 lbs ground beef
1/2 lbs hotdog sliced diagonally
4 tbsps sugar
Original blend spaghetti sauce
1/2 small bottle banana ketchup
1/2 piece beef cube
Salt and pepper to taste
Quick melting cheese to garnish

COOKING PROCEDURE
1. Rinse the Odong or Udon Noodles in a clean water then let the sit on a container.
2. In a large pan, Sauté garlic and onions.
3. Add the ground beef, sugar, beef cube and the spaghetti sauce (Cook till brownish)
4. Let simmer for a couple of minutes and add some salt and pepper (until sauce gets thicker)
5. Add the hotdogs and the ketchup (cook for about 3 minutes)

6. Add the cooked Odong noodles and garnish with cheese.
